On 2017 March international company Meptagon Green founded MG Renewables LLC. The company’s goal is to build a portfolio of up to 60 MW of operating assets in the next 5 years in Georgia.

MG Renewables qualified by ESCO, the national utility as qualified participant in the electric market. The operation in Georgia is fully supported by the Meptagon Green corporate team and by highly qualified local consultants.

Company’s main strategy is an Acquisition of undervalued Hydro Power Assets in Georgia, developing and operating them.

MG Renewables is member of GREDA.

PROJECTS


Acquiring operating or with need for rehabilitation hydro assets

MG Renewables owns and runs LopotaHPP, located in Kakheti region, village Napareuli, with installed capacity 2 MW, with average yearly generation 7mln KW.

In 2018 company’s plan is rehabilitation of Dzama HPP, located in Kareli region, village Zghuderi, installed capacity will be 1 MG.

Dzama HPP started operating in 1956. By this period it’s not functioning.

MG Renewables started the development of Ghvanana HPP in July 2018. It is located in Kareli municipality, close to settlement Zghuderi, and it will consist of 1 MW installed capacity with an average annual generation 4 GWH.
